The Greasley Castle is an unusual shaped traditional pub with a curved roof.

There is a large service bar in a single room with a number of distinctive areas and a good rear patio area. We are extremely dog friendly and allow children in the pub up until 8pm.

A variety of music is played daily and shown across three internal TV’s.

Two cask ales are on rotation and generally sourced from East Midlands brewers.

History Of The

GREASLEY CASTLE

The Greasley Castle was formerly a Hardys & Hansons tied house.

In 1876, the Greasley Castle was a fully licensed establishment under victualler Charles William Johnson (Post Office Directories).

Named after the remains of the nearby fortified manor house of the same name, built by Nicholas Cantalupe. He received permission to fortify Greasley in 1341, just before the battle of Neville’s Cross.
